Bobbitt Family Records

Warren County Continued:

Patience (Harris) Bobbitt was the widow of John Bobbitt. They were the parents of Charles H. Bobbitt and Ann F. Bobbitt. Ann married Hardy Myrick. The Shaw children are grandchildren of Ann F. Myrick, and great grandchildren of Patience Bobbitt.

William H. Bobbitt and his sisters, Temperance, Nancy, were children of Harris and Partheny (Harris) Bobbitt. In 1852 William H. Bobbitt married Louisa Pope in Warren County.

Harvey M. Bobbitt is frequently listed as Harry M. Bobbitt. He was a son of William and Mary (Plummer) Bobbitt. He married Ann F. Riggan. Harvey served in the army of the Confederate States in Company C of the 12th Regiment. He was wounded and captured at the battle of Malvern Hill.

Kinchen Bobbitt was a son of Harris and Partheny (Harris) Bobbitt. Kinchen married Sally M. Dobbin on January 12, 1833 in Warren County. Kinchen left a will recorded in Warren County in 1880. His grandparents were Stephen and Celah (Harris) Bobbitt. His great grandfather was John Richard Bobbitt. His brother was William H. Bobbitt who married Louisa Pope. He is one of the descendants of John Bobbitt of Chowan precinct.
