Albert Bobbitt a brother of Isaac married Malissa Dickens a sister of Hasty. Isaac and Hasty were married on December 17, 1846 and the marriage is recorded in Gibson County.
The Bobbitt families of Gibson County descend from two males who were both named "James". James Bobbitt from South Carolina, born in 1786, was born in Warren County, North Carolina, a son of William and Susannah (James) Bobbitt. James Bobbitt who married Mary Gunn, was a son of Lewis and Mary (Person) Bobbitt of Warren County, North Carolina. The grandfathers of the two James Bobbitt families were first cousins.
