Harvey J. Bobbitt (1877-1968) married Ada Owen Bobbitt (1876-1964) and were the parents of Coleman, Riley, Willie, Lizzie, Nannie, Kathleen and Thelma Bobbitt.

Harvey Johnson Bobbitt was a son of Thomas Calvin Bobbitt, a son of Terry Bobbitt, a son of Charles W. Bobbitt, a son of Randolph Bobbitt (Revolutionary War Soldier), a son of James Bobbitt, a son of William Bobbitt Jr., a son of William Bobbitt who came from Wales and settled in Virginia in 1673. All were born and reared in what is today Pittsylvania County Virginia.
