Elizabeth Bobbitt is listed as head of household, where she was living with her grandson, Frederick Bobbitt, who for some reason was away from home. The children listed with her were her great grand-children. It is interesting to note that she is not living near the home of Joseph R. Bobbitt and his family. We are not certain when Elizabeth died but know that it was between October 1850 and December 31, 1850.

Nancy (Lancaster) Bobbitt, widow of Lewis C. Bobbitt was born in 1794. She was 42 years of age when Lewis died. We are unable to identify her in the 1840 census and she was not listed in the 1850 census. We presume that she died before 1850.
